Eat the way the coast eats
Food is one of the simplest ways to understand this part of the coast. Days can begin with fresh bread and local cheese from a nearby bakery or market, continue with grilled fish or seafood pasta at a waterfront restaurant, and end in a family-run konoba inland where the menu follows the season rather than the tourist calendar. Between meals there is room for an olive oil tasting, a small winery visit or an afternoon of local cheese and cured meats on the terrace. We share the places we return to ourselves, along with an honest note on which are relaxed and which are worth reserving in advance.
